Seagate warranty support request filed with seagate. Attempted to get call from support; given a 39-minute callback window and over 2 hours later, no callback. If it failed, warranty claim would be a nightmare.

There was no advanced warning of impending drive failure. No warning. Clicking noises.

Quiter than my wb black and cheaper.

I bought this back in 2014 when 256gb ssd's ran for $250.

No matter how much you pay for a harddrive they will fail.

Smr/mtc drives (seagate) have a different strategy.

It is worth mentioning that i did not find much a of different in most tasks between this sshd & wd black hdds.
