Pros
I don't put a ton of confidence in the plastic case but for everyday stationary use in my home office, it's fine. Seagate drives have a high rate of failure compared to the past, but i heard things are changing and they're improving.
We were able to wire the drive into our wireless router via the usb port on our router and can access our files on any of our pcs on our network.
Cons
This is the only seagate model i had fail on me, or give me data redundancy errors while trying to copy files to another drive. Customer service is non existent. Tried to recover data & couldn't. Went to seagate site thinking there would be replac... Read More
Seagate has a class action lawsuit against them. Diagnostic tools show bad blocks and frequent overheating. A flood slowed down their production.
Seagate is by far the worst performer. Unpredictability of when it dies is the most troubling. Quarter of everyone who ever used this drive hate it (or came near close to hating it!
The drive still spins down after a ridiculously short amount of time. Never that quick a drive, and bricked on me with minimal use and no precipitating event. I have drives that i've used more frequently and been tougher on which have lasted much long... Read More

Price
I love seagate drives, but recently one of my internal seagate hdd died and cost me about $1.
Competitiveness
Have never had a problem with a segate external hd.
Can't wait to get another 8tb drive for backing up my precious data after doing more research!

Very fast scanning and great quality but its only good if you have it right at your desk otherwise youll be going back and forth from this scanner and your pc

Sometimes you can get it to continue where it left off other times you have to start all over
