That does make removing the clip a little more difficult but the light detaches from the clip with a simple twist and pull for charging or when it is not needed so you can leave the clip on permanently and just remove the light

My only worry is that this twist mechanism that attaches the light to the clip may become loose over time with wear and it will start coming undone as the dog bounces around in the future but i guess we will have to see
