As a young woman i spent 1 1/2 years with the maori.
Very interesting read, being a resident of the southwest i am familiar with the areas most of the story takes place.
It was in no way a detailed representation of her life with the whites or with the indians.
For those who aren't familiar with the hourly history series of books, they are intended to be read in about an hour.
