I almost put down 3 stars because olympus should have included this with the 60mm macro lens in the first place.

Minus 1 star for not including it with the 60mm macro in the first place (come on olympus).

I am happy with the hood, good quality control, easy to attache to the lens, but it should come as an intergral part of the lens.

However, this seller's price was far less than many others on the web which can be as high as $75.

I am knocking 1 star for two issues; #1, this should have been included with the macro lens, and #2, the price is excessive.

Packaging/appearance

Love how it slides back when you want it out of the way.

Packaging - the olympus lense hood is packaged in bubble wrap inside the manufactures box, while the jjc is just in clear plastic bag.

Needs a way to lock it from coming off in the bag

Competitiveness

More than a little bit pricy compared to third-party equivalents.

A little expensive but does the trick.
