Pros & Cons
Pros
Works as advertised. Probably a good thing, avoids false offs. Works as designed and even has dust covers for the outlets when not in use.
Cons
Lasted about 18 months. Must be in a relay or sensor somewhere. Now it just clicks like cra,y when you plug it in. Tv only draws fewer than 7 watts when off, so that should be below the threshold.
Highlights
Quality
Did not expect much for the money, but was pleasantly surprised.
I'm happy for the most part, but noticed that my monitors shut off too quickly with this product.
Competitiveness
At my expensive california electric rates, that's a $9/year savings over the sunbeam.
Saves me time (2hrs/year) and money ($10/year) by my calculations.
A more expensive competitor, tricklestar 4 outlet powertap, claims <1 watt draw.
Still, if it saves more than that, it's a win.
