Either way the bar is fixed and removed just by twisting it which extends or retracts the bar ends exerting force against the door frame

Very easy to setup you just spin the handle and the sides go out and press against the walls

It says that i should be installed in a doorway but you can even put it in between 2 walls

Very sturdy love this product had my yoga trapeze on this did not budge once it was put up down side very hard to take down if moving home only as one set of holding brackets
