If you are trying not to wake your sleeping partner a sonic toothbrush is quieterthe base that sits on the charger gradually accumulates dried water and toothpaste residue and needs to be cleaned frequentlyoccasionally one tries to put the brush on the charger backwards as it is easy to make the mistake
