I got this oreck commercial u2000rb1 vac to replace my old and very similarstyle oreck xl noncommercial vac that had performed well for about 25 years before it finally gave out

The new oreck seems to be working well so far and overall im pleased with it except for one thing described below that i didnt know about until the new vac arrived and i inspected it closely this issue did not exist with my old oreck xl

That oreck would impose such a flagrant and absolutely unnecessary inconvenience on its users is outrageous to me

The only plausible explanation i can think of is that they did this deliberately in the hope that some users would have to take or ship their vac to an oreck service center and pay a large service fee for routine brush roller maintenance that could otherwise easily be done at home with a phillips screwdriver

So those considering buying the oreck u2000rb1 vac should be aware that they will inevitably be screwed in this way by the oreck company
