Pros

The long, sturdy cord allows multiple room cleaning without moving the plug. It saves time just in that i'm not constantly unplugging it an plugging it in at the other end of the room. It has a bright light that shines on the floor.

If the above list fits your needs, this vacuum is absolutely worth owning. As a secondary vacuum, it’s great. Maybe a shortcoming for the price.

Between kids, dogs, and being an avid gardener, there always seems to be a mess in my house that needs vacuuming. I have pets and allergies and the difference was noticeable. This swivel upright has been fantastic so far!

This model has more suction than our old oreck xl. The suction is strong.

Cons

The "feel" while operating is flimsy & it's noisy. It's so heavy and it takes all my might to vacuum plush carpeting. Can't be used to vacuum a floor with throw rugs.

Very pleased with the form and function of this vacuum.

This is my first experience with the oreck brand,i am mostly know of the brand as a favorite for hotel cleaning personnel.

This requires the use of a second vacuum to clean areas too narrow for the oreck.

For the price, that makes this a no-go for me.

Price

This is a bagged vacuum which is a little bit of a concern given the price.

Packaging/appearance

The long cord is also mostly a plus, though you have to manage it to keep it out of the way as you're vacuuming.

There is nothing floating around in the air when this thing is running; all the particulates are being trapped inside of the bag.

Competitiveness

We have dogs and a cat who are major shedders.

Oreck gives you an ample 30ft cord, so you need to plug it in where you are going to end up and then move on!
