Love oreck vacuums- great suction, easy to operate and lightweight!
Noteworthy features: self propells, great suction, simple, very well made, led lights, power selection.
Worked well for almost five years, and then it just died on me (circuit board went bad).
Because of this, i can’t recommend it unless you relegate it to light duty tasks and don’t have any excessively fuzzy beasts.
Price
Having gone from a $20 vacuum we invested in a $200 shark.
Competitiveness
Recently, we gave away a working bissell and a shark.
Less premium brands that you know you will have to replace may wind up being a better value… though result in more waste at the landfill.

I would expect to get more than 2 years of relatively infrequent use out of a vacuum like this
