Cons

The only way to 'fix' it is to keep resetting the power on the unit. The monitor image will flicker, spasm, and static for several seconds at random. Even as a 1:1, the screen flickers as if losing connection.

It does not. This defeats the purpose of this.

Hdmi carries resolution and device information and this device does a poor job to relay that to whatever input you are trying to use. It will screw up using a capture card.
