Pros

The hdmi switch is nice and solid and appears to be made very well, with a steel body. It's nice and compact. The metal frame is very heavy and sturdy, thoroughly protecting the electric internals which is great for this kind of device.

The ps5 has an optical-in port which can decode dolby digital 5. The optical out allows for dolby sound. Auto detects my xbox or switch. I use to add an optical out to my xbox series x, and that works quite well for me. With spdif + 3.

Wall wart comes with transmitter, receiver, and power supply. Can be plugged into your computer via a usb cable of your own.

Couldn't be happier. This happens all the time. Now it deserves the 5 star! This one works. But that's a minor critique when it works where others have not!

Cons

Device does not function as advertised for high-rate audio. My unit is either defective or the advertised spec is incorrect.

What a huge pain in the rear not including an optical audio output xbox & playstation made it for consumers.

The sound bar was too loud, the buds were too soft, and the sound was not in sync.

Price

It works as advertised, but it's overpriced.

$80 out of pocket for a workaround to get dolby digital without upgrading my system.

I contacted orei and asked them before purchase and they recommended this unit (bk-21a) and it indeed does work!

Competitiveness

My son uses it to switch between his apple tv and his xbox and has had zero issues with this particular brand.

Wouldn't be this excited but i went through a few other, different brand, hdmi 2.

I also tried the cheaper orei audio extractor hda-912 and it failed to pass video like the others.
