This device was able to maintain the fullquality signal for the tv outputted by the receiver and at the same time downscale to a nonhdr 720p signal to the mac mini’s capture card with effectively no lag at all

Also it didn’t work unless all the hdmi cables were the latest standard capable of the 18gbps link 4k hdr 422 video signals require

I wasn’t getting any output when the 720p mac mini was using an older hdmi cable even though its output resolution should not have required it which seemed odd and was not covered in the manual

Now you actually need to turn on the devices separately

Additionally the device occasionally crashes when turning the tv on

Never during use so it’s not a huge deal but without a power button or a remote i need to reach around behind it and unplug it then plug it back in

It does exactly what it says making a video signal a new resolution with a particular refresh rate
