Quality

Perfect for quick component testing and matching.

Easy to use and makes a great teaching tool.

No instructions explaining assembly, no instructions saying that it will turn off after about 10 seconds, nothing.

Plug in the part into any slot and hit the button.

Price

The price was excellent for everything included.

Pleasantly surprised by the value in this meter.

However, if you don't way to pay hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars for a pro-grade tester, this thing is great.

This little kit is pretty rad, especially for under 15 bucks.

Not a pleasant experience, but the exchange takes a day, and is well worth the wait.

Packaging/appearance

However, due to insufficient protective packind, i had to return the first 2 kits for chipped lcd screens.

Competitiveness

It works with npn and pnp transistors which is nice.

Unlike the other thousand identical testers on amazon, this has an acrylic case, which is why i bought it.

If doing a lot of smd stuff you’ll probably want to skip the case and screw it to something so that the test pads are more acceptable

The thru hole components like bipolar and fet transistors may not have lead configuration printed on the case

The multifunction meter solves the problem of were the transistor leads go

I had to modify the case slightly but that took only a few minutes with the rotary tool

I’ve tried using it for incircuit testing of transistors with mixed results but for loose components it is easier to use than the transistor tester in my multimeter and i expect it to be a big help in my shop especially in sorting out my collection of old “mystery” components

Dont rely on it for exact values such as esr but it has been perfect for pincomponent identification
