Highlights
Quality
This is my 2nd one, it was easy to install and set up, it is running as advertised and is to advertised size.
Its speed is good and it makes os booting and opening apps quick (i keep downloads and media files on a larger sata ssd).
Passed random fill test with verify of entire 256gb of drive data a day later.
Write speed drops to 130mb/s when writing continuously for minutes.
Price
2 drive at a very affordable price point.
Extremely affordable nvme that does the advertised speeds at 2400 mb/s read and 1800mb/s write.
2 nvme ssd was selling for $19.
At the time of this review, this ssd was going for under 20, which is a nice price.
Shipping
Pretty fast transfer rates if i must say.
Packaging/appearance
There were no items in the package that were missing or damaged.
Competitiveness
It uses tlc nand, which is better than qlc in terms of performance and longevity.
It might be less reliable, but then again, i've never had any of my many ssds fail on me, either name-brand or generic.
It uses a silicon motion sm2263en controller, which debuted back in 2018 as a mainstream budget controller.
At 2400mb/s, it's still faster than traditional sata iii ssd's, but as far as nvme ssd's, it isn't fast enough to saturate the pcie 3.
