2nd, my keyboard stopped responding and it would not work even after i restarted my pc, i had to unplug my keyboard and plug it back in.
Fact is you're likely to never get the speeds they advertise but it'd fact enough with even a usb 3.

Given how inexpensive this drive is, my expectations were not real high and it's more than fast enough for my needs at this time.

Update - the seller reached out to me and sent a replacement drive.
Obviously, you have to choose the port wisely to get the maximum speed.

For the first 200 gb the transfer speed was about 400 to 500 mb
