Pros
Opens without needing a screwdriver.
Plug and plug, works with m. Sata as expected, average of 450 mb/s for both read and write, as per crystaldiskmark. Spec for the drive i installed in are 495mb/s seq.
Was pleasantly surprised by quality of item. If you are in the market for a sata enclosure, keeping in mind compatibility criteria, this is not a bad choice to pursue. It's still within the acceptable threshold.
The orico enclosure is made mainly of abs plastic for the interior shell and an outer cover made of aluminum. Features several vents to aid with heat dissipation. Comes with a silicone thermal pad.
Sata drive placed within the enclosure. Using the silicon plug is easy and convenient. There are two little silicone pieces for holding the drive in place.
Cons
Both firmware and hardware are problematic. Tried to contact through the manufacture site, but no responds. My biggest regret is that i am outside the return window so these are going to landfill.

The heat transfer pad is useless, there is no way it can make contact with the aluminium case to transfer heat from the ssd to the case.

Won't work with nvme or msata drives.
I have another orico external enclosure just like this one but the my other enclosure has a metal shield.

When i first inserted my drive it was sort of tilted up so i was concerned if my computer was going to be able to read it

Being an aluminum case it sort of acts like a heat sink because it gor a little warm after using the drive for about an hour
