I was initially attracted to these boxes for the price. My only regret not to buy much earlier. But i still plan to buy more of these cases as the need arises.

Plastic is durable, decent and hard. The cases are sturdy, and they have just the right amount of padding on the inside. My only reservation is the plastic flex hinge.

This stuff absorbs shock like spenco biogel. Soft interior glued in gives quality to the container. The cases are lined and close securely.

The anti-static bag that the hard drives came in are actually perfect for these cases, filling in the buffer space for the most part and making for a snug fit.

Cons

The hinge is terribly weak and will break after opened and closed a few times. The clasp is a fingernail destroyer and the case is rounded and impossible to get a grip on. You need to force the lid to close, and once closed, it is *very* difficult to ... Read More

Only improvement would be if it could rest upright, but product clearly shows rounded edges.

I was able to put a drive in it along with static bag, even though the foam is made to be static free.

Especially for the price, not bad at all.

These are very affordable in sets of five for storage of my now 'too small' collection of sata hard drives which i can use for backups.

I think these are a good value.

It’s a small investment for priceless peace of mind.
