Pros
Installing it was as simple as just directly swapping out the drives. Works on my original wii with no affect on my installed homebrew and accepts both wii and gamecube games. Easy to install, just go to youtube for tutorials.
This drive comes with a small screw driver. Comes with the tri-wedge screwdriver for the special screws.
Cons
It's functional, except it doesn't read dual layered discs (no super smash bro) drive has many scuff marks on the metal and looks used. Worthless piece of junk.

This sucker came faster than expected, and even came with the screw driver(s) needed to extract the dead one and put in the new one!
Ordered on saturday afternoon, received monday afternoon.
Packaging/appearance
Item was well packaged and works perfectly with wii games, it also works with game cube discs!
The drive arrived in perfect condition and even included a tri-wing screwdriver, which was a great help!
The dvd drive arrived well packaged in bubble wrap and came with the tri point screw driver needed to open the console.
I watched the tutorial before opening up the package, and i thought i was going to have to buy the tri wing screwdriver.

Plus it's backward comparable with game cube!
I compared it to the original drive, they are the same.

I used an empty ice cube tray to sort the screws

My wii stopped accepting disks and was making a clicking sound opened it up and one of the gears on the drive was cracked

Also if you have games downloaded onto hard drive you’ll still be able to play this only replaces the dvd drive
