These are basically a sock uppers with plastic supports outside the sock. The shoe is fantastic for what i need it for. As an electrician the shoes work for me great. He wears rubber boots but when doing less work that involves water he wears these.

A little snug, but over all great for working. They fit well and are comfy. They feel a little larger than normal, but not to where it causes a problem. They are extremely comfortable and lightweight.

These were advertised as composit steel toe. There is zero cushion from the steel and your toes inside the shoe. The plastic eyelets come apart if you tighten the laces to tight.
