Pros

The lightweight pad conforms to the knee and is so much lighter than plunking a heavy frozen ice pack on top of a tender knee. You get total coverage plus compression from the wrap.

The ossur has a quiet motor. It is quite so did not disturb my sleep. Unit is super quiet, has a low hum.

Flow is adjustable which controls how cold it get. The ice cubes give more surface area to chill the water immediately.

Works great by numbing surgery site. Reduced swelling and the pain.

Cons

Was a champ the 1st time (rotator cuff surgery), second surgery, it leaks. When needed for the 2nd surgery, leaked everywhere. I'm back to using a gallon ziplock bag and a towel and it's better.

Donjoy offers only a 6 month warranty on a $200 machine, which speaks volumes about the quality of the product. Unfortunately the unit is out of warranty and is now in the trash can.

Told him to get one but not this one. Very disappointed. Definitely disappointed with the limited warranty. Look elsewhere.

Worked for 45 days then quit working. Clearly not durable.

Would not recommend. Not recommended. Don’t waste your money.

The knee pad has two flaps on the side that don’t seem to go down and build condensation but overall a great product.

The ice melts quicker than we wish and we have to keep emptying it.

The cheaper unit had a flow restriction, where this one has none.
