Pros
It takes a while to boil water but unlike others i haven't had any problems getting it to a vigorous boil. Its much easier to clean than coil type burners.
Bought at walmart for less than advertised on amazon. Works well enough. It's been working flawless.
The heat is regulated fairly well through use of the rotary knob. It works consistently everyday; no sudden overheating or overly long unnatural heating-up periods. It lasts a long time.
For the price, the quality of this unit is unbeatable. I have one of these from another store which works great so bought a second (one in my basement workshop and the older unit now in my outbuilding workshop). But two complaints:1.

Not worth fixing for the price of a better one. Didn't use it daily, sometimes not even weekly. Very disappointed. Won't buy again.

I was looking for a basic single burner that required less than 1000w of power

In fact the output readout on my solar generator registered between 750w 785w on high setting so the burner didnt even pull the full advertised 900w from my portable generator once it hits maximum heat it will actually shut off for a minute or two and then reactivate apparently to maintain a stable temperature or avoid overheating

The hot plate top doesnt seem to be removable which makes the cleaning tedious

As always with any hot plate i wouldent touch one while its plugged in and should be unplugged after every use

On high it boiled two quarts of water in a pot without any lid on it faster than a small eye set on medium on the electric stove
