Pros & Cons
Pros
If you turn the pitmen arm as far clockwise as you can, it goes on without having to take the steering box lose from the frame. Do yourself or a future owner a favor and put some anti-seize or waterproof grease on the splines when you install the new ... Read More
Soak the splines and nut with mouse milk (or your favorite penetrant) the day before. Cut a groove in it. Put back together again. Used a 24mm wrench.
Worked flawlessly. Worked like a champ. Spent hours twice with no luck. Amp; worth every penny over your average puller!
Used on a 2002 ford expedition 4x4. Gmc 2500hd duramax. Worked as intended in my 2002 f150 4x4 pitman arm. Well made and fits exactly as required to get the pitman arm off '02 tahoe.
The puller is very strong. It is thicker and heavier and just looks considerably stronger.
Cons
This tool is not as advertised. Cheap pot steel instead of the hardened tool steel advertised. Replacement pitman arm cannot be installed with the steering gear bolted in place.

Price
No need to pay $250-375 to mechanic, took less than 45 minutes, no need to loosen or remove ps box just slide tool on lube up and go!
Don't waste your money on the snap-on tools puller (at 200 to 400 dollars, its a waste of both time and money).
Considering the alternative to this tool is paying a shop ~$100/hr to do the job or buy the snap-on tool for over $200 it's sti... Read More

Packaging/appearance

Competitiveness
