Pros

Crystal clear case allows you to see your drive as well as its components. Nice carrying case for portable use. Works perfect with owc solid state drive. Works with my ssd crucial perfectly.

Durable polycarbonate shell holds up well under day-to-day use. They're easy to assemble. Easy to install, love the performance and looks.

Owc makes superior products. As is typical for owc products, outstanding quality. It replaces a fw800 enclosure that i could no longer use with my new macbook air which is usb-c.

Cons

The light comes on but there is no mounting of the hard drive on the computer. Really irritating. It works via firewire 800, but not usb 3.

I put a 1tb samsung 840 evo-series ssd in my enclosure and was able to connect it to my retina macbook pro in less than 10 minutes.

I'm using it with a crucial mx300 sata ssd.

Other world computing (owc) products are always high quality, and easy to use.
