Otterbox requires pictures and some other information to submit a warranty claim. Poor rating is because of the poor design of the clip which will break over and over. On a side note, after researching, rice isn't the best option.

The screen protector lets dust get in around the home button, so dust and particles sit behind the screen protector. The original has a removable rubberlike outer shell, this case does not. It has a harder material that does not appear removable.

I’ve dropped it already several times and it’s as durable as my other otterboxes!
I’ve already been through two lifeproof boxes and they wear out; and we were good to the phone.
I bought it to replace my defective lifeproof for the 3rd time and they wont warranty it anymore.

I would still be using it happily if not for the fact that att is dismantling their 3g network which has forced me to upgrade begrudgingly to a newer model phone

Apple products tend to be about as easy to hold as wet bar of soap and most smooth plastic cases dont much improve this

Ive dropped this thing more times than i care to remember exposed it to heat cold damp and water although its definitely not water proof and the plastic and rubber still hold upnegatives no dust protection this case will not keep dust out

The case comes with a built in screen cover that rests about 1 mm off the phone screen and the supposed dust port covers dont do anything at all to keep dust out of this gap so you find yourself fairly regularly removing the case and cleaning the screen

Before the charge port tab broke off it would strain the case while open which lifted the screen cover about an additional 0
