Pros

Light uses an ott corkscrew bulb. Fixture is completely quite when on, no electrical buzzing sound.

Great for all my crafting or just reading. My 91 year old mother has macular degeneration and was unable to do her beloved crossword puzzles any more. Highly recommended for anyone of any vision to do crafts, etc.

Cons

Not as sturdy as the old ones, the light is funky color, and the inflexibility just do not work for me. Can't use the lamp for a week while waiting for bulb. My other ott light is 18 watt and that light is better for knitting.

I let it run about fifteen minutes to throughly warm up and then pushed the on/off switch in and the lamp turned off.

The item was exactly as promised and arrived on time

So you can imagine my surprise last week when i ordered this floor lamp from amazon and it arrived defective!

I was surprised that the product was not damaged in shipping.

Packaging/appearance

Document the packaging before you open it just to be sure that nothing is missing or damaged.

I would have to say that the packaging leaves a lot to be desired.

Competitiveness

No way this one can even break as that other brand did!

You won't know how good this light is until you can compare it to a standard reading light.

This (floor) lamp will replace (another ottlite) desk lamp moved to another location.
