Pros & Cons
Pros
Battery-operated is a plus. Works well in my husband's office as he has an area other than his desk for which he needs an occasional lamp.
Rests upright with support; could substitute for a flashlight.
Lightweight, bright, crisp cool white. Inch lamp is perfect for painting. Lightweight portability is very unique.
Cons
Ineffective illumination, reboxed or refurbished unit, hard to find power supply. This light is a battery hog. They * the life out of the 3 aaa batteries (not included) in a hurry.
Leds are not as bright as i would have hoped. It is not very bright nor does it shine on a wide area. If you slightly bump the light or the table it's definitely going to fall over. My clip on book light is better.
Especially since the screw is not captive. Comes in the horrible impossible to open hard plastic packaging and not a box. Impossible to open without completely destroying hard plastic molded packaging.
Highlights
Quality
Everything i needed in a easy to use portable light, very bright and well made.
Works great very clear light and can maneuver into needed areas
Not re-chargeable -- needs 3 alkaline aaa cells.
Turn on only while using otherwise keep it off, it will go through batteries.
Price
Price was right and i am very happy with my purchase.

But even with brand new batteries the light began to fade within a few minutes and quickly became too dim for use for any purpose

It doesnt get hot or burn anything either

I should also not that the neck only goes up and down does not twist and has a maximum angle of about 120 degrees so you have to get right under the light to really work with it

Not sure how well itd stand up to ambient dampness though so be sure to store it properly if you take it outdoors
