Pros

Ottlite has the best lighting. This light is wonderful to read anything. Good daylight for old eyes or black yarn.

Easy to assemble. Instructions are easy to follow and an allen wrench is included. Two pcs just needed to be * together.

Cons

I have another ottlite that is very sturdy and bright. There is a flimsy connector that does not hold the lamp in place. It's not easy to attach the top pole with the light to the other two bottom poles that were easy to put together.

This one is junk. Very disappointing.

Packaging/appearance

I replaced my 11 yr old ottlite florescent, looks much better (that one is still ok, just looked its age, so it's in a spare room).

Competitiveness

This is a much better buy than the cricut brand light (at something like $350), and it's bright, adjustable, dimmable, and attractive.

Also, lamps of other brands had twist buttons that would wear out.
