Pros
This floor lamp is solidly built. It stands stabily and holds it's adjusted position well. The floor design simply allows for more flexibility in positioning the light. The on/off switch is conveniently located on the lamp head.
This is a marvelous floor lamp. It is solid, bright, versatile, and quite sturdy.
Cons
The light is not bright and the illumination dissipates quickly when you get more than 12 inches from the blub. Even though the base is heavy, the light wobbles.

The gooseneck on this model actually just a plastic sleeve over metal which feels cheap and the lamp head moves in only one direction
