The first part is the slowest, as we need to make allowances for dickens getting it all set up. Dickens is a masterful storyteller and flawlessly weaves many intricate pieces together.

I love dickens, and this work is especially delightful, chock full of heroes and heroines, as well as dastardly villains.

This is a reproduction of the 1937 nonesuch edition and it's a very large book, about the size of a tombstone in a pet graveyard. I am very pleased they had lucinda dickens hawksley do the afterword for this one. Will go on to read other classics.

Mcl is a collection of well made pocket sized classics. They're my favourites. And the penguin classics edition is as good as ever. I need to get myself a hard copy of this penguin.



Cons
