Pros & Cons
Pros
Our mutual friend is one of dickens' most famous works. The novel is a mixture of romance, tragedy and the usual dickensian twists and turns. The book is full of classic lines, such as why ain't you ugly?
Mr. Boffin is a lovely character, and his wife even more so. He satirises the class of society that hangs around the rich, especially the nouveau riche.
Our mutual friend is a book i return to every 15 years and it gets better each time i reread it. To read a novel this long on the kindle app on a mobile phone one must be intrigued. Listening to audio books makes exercising so much more tolerable!
Lizzie hexam is one of the most likeable personages in the book. She is the daughter of a man who rowing up and down the thames looking for corpses. Eugene wrayburn, a lawyer, finds himself attracted to her, even though it means he becomes a social pa... Read More
Bella wilfer is a mercenary young lady, quite willing to go along with this scheme. Her redemption from mercenary little madam to loving little wife and mother has its nauseating moments. Bella and lizzie are both good heroines, though.
Cons
Jim killavey reads in a monotone, as if he doesn't understand or doesn't care about what he is reading. It seems like there is no coherence in the book.

Competitiveness
