Had an earlier version of this hat but i lost it at a search and rescue training event in 2015

That earlier version actually bore a tag that said the waterproof membrane inside was goretex

Due to the water resistant nature of the hats construction it lacks heat vents so you have to take it off every so often to dissipate heat
