I have a water softener installed outside the house that works wonders for the absolutely horrible water here in florida. While its not outdoor rated, the specs indicate that it has a high humidity (90%) and high temperature (65°c/149°f) ratings.

Mini splitter is small and light, which is nice on top of a ladder. Took the poe in and split to multiple cameras no sweat.

It's very basic, featureless kit that works well. Big enough to let my connection max out and passthrough to another area. Compact size helps control the chaos that all of us in networking deal with.

Takes seconds to put in place, the mini splitter is more than capable of running 3 cameras at reasonable framerate at 100mb/s rates.

For about $30 it is smart to have one in the box just in case.

Overall, great little device simply cabling issues and may even save cost as long run of ethernet cables can be costly.

It got a little warm but it was outside in a box in miami heat.
