I am very happy with this product for the price point.
We will definitely replace with the same one when she manages to force her current one into retirement.
In the past i've spent much more for an electric kettle yet they were not the quality of this one.
It is user friendly- you can select the desired temperature with the click of a button.
Shipping
(i did find a replacement lid and paid over $12 plus shipping for it--and the same thing happened.
Packaging/appearance
Because of the type of water i have in my house, after a few days there are a lot of mineral deposits on the inside bottom of the kettle.
Competitiveness
This is my second ovente electric kettle.
The first one i bought offered a 2-year protection plan so i bought that too.

It beeps when you turn it on and it beeps when it hits boiling temperature

Of course within a few months the plastic melted and the handle fell off so i had to fill it through the spout

Would be better if keep warm function allowed variable desired temperature
