Pros & Cons
Pros
It's just as strong, manages the same amount of overhang without drooping. No nozzle clogs. No warping. Make sure to use hardened nozzle.
Great quality on layers with the right settings. Works great for vapor smoothing. Heat gun and acetone glossing remains spot on and smooths out very predictably.
The cardboard used is very solid and not corrugated like proto pasta rolls. Also, it's nice to not have a beefy polystyrene spool left over once the roll is done. The gold/tan color is what i was going for, the brown latch on the left is the royal gol... Read More
prusa i3 mk 2. Printing on an anycubic mega s with a e3dv6 hot end. It prints nicely on my prusa mk3s+ with 255 degc nozzle temp.
Bought this as a first timer with abs. Looks fantastic and does a great job. This abs is awesome!
Cons
Honestly frustrating. This is the last time i’ll buy overture filament.
Highlights
Quality
Ran several calibration towers and got the results i needed for success, even with no brim.
Great quality on layers with the right settings.
Higher max volumetric speeds can result in inconsistent layer appearance and layer adhesion issues.
The heat gun melted the filament on my tool so that it all smoothed out and looked like a solid piece, except this blue didn't.
Price
5s in enclosurecolor: whitefor a competitive price, this abs is well-behaved.
Shipping
It came quickly and i went back to my project as the 4th shade of blue.
I got this package very soon after i ordered it.
Packaging/appearance
Filament came pretty dry in a resealable vacuumed bag with desiccant.
Purchased to try to match colors on my voron and selected the 'royal gold' vice 'gold' since it seemed closer in the photo.
Competitiveness
I have used other brands of abs and this one by far has been the best.
It is much better than any of the three other white abs filaments that i've tried!
I were getting poor results so i bought two other brands to compare; overture and jayo.
I initially had a bit of trouble compared to the last brand i tried.
