Pros & Cons
Pros
Jayo and overture looks like images that i found online and that’s about what i expected. Bought this as a first timer with abs. Overture is a reputable brand.
It's just as strong, manages the same amount of overhang without drooping. No warping and good interlayer adhesion. Using a pva gluestick helps prevent prints from lifting from the bed.
Esun abs+ has a matte finish which i find much nicer than the shiny finish with the overture. It's nice to not have a beefy polystyrene spool left over once the roll is done. Glows for longer than expected. The cardboard used is very solid and not cor... Read More
Acetone smoothing in a crock pot. Heat gun and acetone glossing remains spot on and smooths out very predictably.
Cons
Honestly frustrating. This is the last time i’ll buy overture filament.
Highlights
Quality
Ran several calibration towers and got the results i needed for success, even with no brim.
Words great on every 3d build i have done.
Higher max volumetric speeds can result in inconsistent layer appearance and layer adhesion issues.
Parts are super strong (100% infill) and i don't even notice an odor, even after a five hour print.
Price
5s in enclosurecolor: whitefor a competitive price, this abs is well-behaved.
Shipping
It came quickly and i went back to my project as the 4th shade of blue.
I got this package very soon after i ordered it.
Packaging/appearance
Filament came pretty dry in a resealable vacuumed bag with desiccant.
Purchased to try to match colors on my voron and selected the 'royal gold' vice 'gold' since it seemed closer in the photo.
Competitiveness
It is much better than any of the three other white abs filaments that i've tried!
I were getting poor results so i bought two other brands to compare; overture and jayo.
I initially had a bit of trouble compared to the last brand i tried.
The overture abs did okay in our informal test, but another more expensive brand beat it in terms of final quality.
