Pros & Cons
Pros
The overture easy nylon filament is very easy to print and requires little to none extra knowledge to print with if you are already familiar with petg. It prints like a dream with almost no warping, and it is stronger than anything i have ever printed... Read More
It's kind of matte a bit with a little sparkle, which does show up nice on the parts.
Used a enclosure, bed at 75, hardened nozzle at 250. Used cura generic nylon settings with a pei bed on an ender 3 v2/microswiss allmetal hot end. The sweet spot is 255-260speed 30-40bed temp 80-100.
Cons
The surface finish is the worst i have ever seen with any filament i have printed. It prints all the way down to 200 just fine, if you print it at a normal nylon temp range it's pure goo and is super brittle. Even with a thin layer of pva glue it adhe... Read More
Highlights
Quality
I am amazed at the quality of this stuff.
This was a first material i tried for printing with nylon and i’m happy with the quality if prints.
For some reason, the product title doesn't say 'easy' (it's written on the spool) but it should!
I'm not here to judge protocol and ethics of polymer research, but whatever dumpsters overture was diving (gathering data) into... Read More
Price
They're not my #1 but i will use them when the price is right or my prime filament (esun) is out of stock.
4mm @ 38 mm/sprint speed: 45mm/sbridge speed: 40mm/sbridge flow: 80%other settings: stock prusa slicer 2.
Shipping
Overture 3d does a great job in vacuum sealing all of their filaments prior to shipping, but you must dry the nylon prior to printing!
Packaging/appearance
The prints came out very nice and the packaging was very nice with vacuum sealed mylar bag.
Instead, this filament came right out of the packaging and into the printer at 260deg.
It was dry right out of the package, or at least it weighed the same before and after drying for 12 hours.
Competitiveness
Printed with good layer bonding and adhesion on a creality coated glass bed without any extra treatment.
If you want a filament that prints easier than petg while producing structurally superior products, get this, you'll be happy.
As expected, it was even easier to work with and produced better results than the 200g sample i got from another maker.

However whether you have a textured or smooth print surface you will need to add water based glue glue stick to get proper adhesion

Interesting fact is that the first time i printed with nylon i did not use glue and the filament adhered to my textured bed quite nicely but after i removed the print there was no way to get it to stick without applying a layer of glue on the bed surface

So save yourself sometime and apply the glue right from the get go

Because of the combination of a high printing temperature 250c and a short layer time the overhangs were getting a droopy and deformed since there was not enough time to cool down a bit from layer to layer causing it to droop and look bad

I tried to snap the string test to check for layer bonding and i was surprised by the fact that the piece kind of bent a little but did not snap
