Pros & Cons
Pros
Filament is vacuum sealed in mylar resealable bag with desiccant. Lays down silky smooth on clean glass and very few artifacts. What i cay say however is that i'm really surprised with the layer adhesion, print durability and even print quality.
It was packaged very well. Only complaint i can make is that the spool isn't wound very well, but i've not had a knot as of yet.
Spool comes with a build surface that works with any printer. Wasn't too tricky to dial in.
Cons
Pet isn't matte, its a very glossy polymer. Refuses to detach from the bed in the event of a successful print and ripping a chunk out of my build surface practically every time to do so. For every decent print i get with petg, there are twenty more th... Read More
This is the worst filament i've had the misforturn of ever encountering. I'm force to send it in the trashcan because it's totally unusable. Lots of debris on the printer as well.
Overture petg filament is a nightmare to work with. Won't stick to anything except the nozzle and stringing and globbing like crazy. The diameter is very inconsistent, which results in constantly jamming.
Abs is much better to work with in my experience and much less messy, give or take warping issues. Made the mistake of buying a 6 pack. It's really easy to broke.
Highlights
Quality
It is sturdy, and printed really well with almost zero stringing.
Nozzle 230-245, bed 75, printing with no issues, recommended
This will screw up and ruin first layers over and over untill you change your temps.
It was dehydrated for 6 hrs first.
Price
Got it on sale for $21 or so plus tax (canadian) and it prints very well.
The price is quite good for an entire set.
Packaging/appearance
Item was well packaged, i really like the colour.
I'm all for sustainable packaging, but this is a high temperature product.
Well packaged in a mylar pouch with a decently sized desiccant, it comes dry and ready-to-print.
Competitiveness
I am printing functional parts and yes, they might all look the same but overture petg is a lot stronger than other brands whic... Read More
Costs $27 against $20 on average compared to different brands but i am happy to pay more knowing i have excellent parts that i sell.
