Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

After dabbling with cheaper brands of petg, i keep coming back to overture - it's a safe bet. It really pops. No warping or other defects.

Petg is a very easy filament to print once you understand it. There's a bit of stringing, but actually less than i've had with some pla+ brands. Used to print large objects with a 0.

Cons

It strings at low temps the infill isn't adhering to itself. Very brittle fresh out the box for both.

Not with this overture filament. I have no idea how this filament receives such high ratings. Since the reviews are very good, i assume i got a bad batch.

Quality

Seems to be a high quality filament.

This stuff is food safe, uv resistant, and strong!

It's overly stiff and brittle when printed and strings terribly.

I thought this would be weaker than asa or abs, but i have found the way this material fails allows for more flexibility before...  Read More

Price

Despite the affordable price, the quality is outstanding, and the finishes are truly exceptional.

Still a great product for a good price and that's what matters.

Price was right and issues were related to operator learning curves.

Shipping

But there was some handling / shipping damage to the edges of the spool.

Packaging/appearance

At least the bag was sealed, and it was pretty dry.

Competitiveness

I'm new to 3d printing, and have used less than 1 spool of pla total so far, so yeah, i'm very much a beginner.

This is one of my favorite brands of filament, although elegoo pla is my favorite.
