Pros & Cons
Pros
Overture filaments are great. I have a roughly stock mega x, bowden with a powerful extruder. I'm thinking this filament would probably be great on a direct drive with tuned in retraction settings.
Orange is a good halloween color and is has low opacity. Gray has a sheen to it so that details stand out. Dry, nicely packaged, and completely tangle free.
No drying needed, no treating it special, nada. If u have issues you eathier live someplace humid or your printer settings are off, there is no issue with this product.
Cons
Neither is prusa petg in stock and shipping would take too long. With the white it seems impossible to get a good print, dealing with both over extrusion and under extrusion. Will update this review after getting some resolution from overture, if ther... Read More
The spool was made of cardboard. It's a rotten mess with the filament constantly crossing over itself and jamming. Parts come out flimsy and have a feel similar to cardboard.
This is the worst petg i've ever used. I had to scrounge up a mix of leftovers in various colors that actually worked. My two big complaints is that it clogged up two of my. It’s a shame though because i used to have excellent results with overture.
Highlights
Quality
Print quality is good and so is durability.
Highly recommend any overture filament, but this petg prints super well, very very smooth no print lines and is tough!
What i printed has been outside for a few months now and there is no fade or wear on it.
This particular roll had one spot where the filament was fused to the layer below, causing under-extrusion (ran dry).
Price
Even though it was more expensive than others.
Hopefully overture can start lowering their prices to match the market prices because i do love their petg filament.
Shipping
The one day i dried it for 6 hours while printing, came in the next morning and tried printing.
Packaging/appearance
The spool i got was well dried out of the packaging, and i ran it without drying with zero issues.
Competitiveness
It is like a pure white while other brands seem to be more of a slight cool white
I have only been having the normal problems you get for using petg regardless of brand.
