Pros & Cons
Pros
Adjust by 5c at a time, printing speed etc. In slicer profile. Purchased my first batch of petg filament from overture, as well as another brand.
Been through 2 rolls of the overture black petg and couldn't be happier. Filament lays down silky smooth on clean glass and very few artifacts. Nice semigloss finish.
Loved this, easy and consistent. It's strong and flexible, and i'm probably going to buy it again. I am extremely satisfied.
Cons
The grey overture, grey petg is the only petg i've ever used that has had adhesion issues. Won't stick to anything except the nozzle and stringing and globbing like crazy. Pet isn't matte, its a very glossy polymer.
This is the worst filament i've had the misforturn of ever encountering. Laughably horrible filament. Complete garbage. Such a shame.
For every decent print i get with petg, there are twenty more that are just clumps of endless goop. There is no clear reason why a print fails or succeeds. It's just plain dumb luck if this * can even get one layer down without clumping.
Highlights
Quality
Really good software, really thoughtful, solid machine that just doesn't break.
It is sturdy, and printed really well with almost zero stringing.
This will screw up and ruin first layers over and over untill you change your temps.
Print failed almost every time eventhough got the temps correctly as others have said.
Price
Got it on sale for $21 or so plus tax (canadian) and it prints very well.
I am extremely satisfied and i think this is a good product at a great price.
The price is quite good for an entire set.
Prusa printers cost a bit more (not that much really.
Packaging/appearance
Item was well packaged, i really like the colour.
I'm all for sustainable packaging, but this is a high temperature product.
The spool is really well wrapped and the filament stays relatively dry even without a dry box.
Competitiveness
Purchased my first batch of petg filament from overture, as well as another brand.
I am having successful prints already direct onto fr4bed will buy this brand again.
Tried another brand of petg and attempted the same benchy, with the same settings.
