Pros & Cons
Pros
The overture brand is what the body is made of, which has a very clean white appearance. The shimmer and shine is some of the prettiest work ive seen so far. Keep in mind if you buy this needing a very specific gray; it's a bit lighter than pictured.
A clog-free formula further enhances the printing experience, minimizing jams and frustrations. It prints well using standard pla profile. Nozzle temp 205c with standard medium quality cura pla settings otherwise.
Cons
Out of all my bambu lab & prusa machines, this stuff is absolutely a bad batch or something. It clogs the nozzle and curves the edges. This alone makes this filament useless as it has caused the gears on my extruder to wear out a lot quicker.
Two spools of white pla from overture have slipped through quality control. The precision is far from good. The texture of the prints is terrible and this filament is so brittle after printing that itโs not even worth the time.
Avoid this brand. This is being sent back for a refund. This stuff is the absolute worst filament i have ever used.
Highlights
Quality
Every time, this filament has had great quality with my 3d printers.
Consistent quality, zero issues with this pla.
The shine of the final print is as close to real 24k gold as it gets with 3d printing filament.
Obey the slow print speed or it won't turn out right!
Price
For the price i got it at, it is an absolute steal.
It's affordability and color variety makes it versatile.
The price for what i purchased was a good deal.
Good product but won't be using due to the price.
Packaging/appearance
It comes packaged well, and with a little silica gel packet to ensure freshness (i know is not a fruit or something, but ๐ ) on arrival.
Competitiveness
My camera makes it look like it's way brighter than it actually is (low light settings, i guess) but it does glow much better t... Read More
I bought another brand of yellow glow in the dark filament without looking closer at the reviews.
