Pros & Cons
Pros
Printer is a prusa mk4. It performs the same as the snapmaker brand filament. For the price this is the best filament that ive found.
Overture offers significant cost savings, making it ideal for hobbyists or budget-conscious makers. The shimmer and shine is some of the prettiest work ive seen so far.
Cons
Out of all my bambu lab & prusa machines, and the many other rolls of filaments i have on hand, this stuff is absolutely a bad batch or something. I use a bambu labs p1 and this is the only filament i have had issues with. I constantly am getting ... Read More
This reel seems to be a dud. The quality of the parts is passable but not as good.
The diameter of this overture filament is pretty consistently 1. Mm. This alone makes this filament useless as it has caused the gears on my extruder to wear out a lot quicker.
Highlights
Quality
Good filament, prints good, watch temps when printing.
This filament is absolutely phenomenal for simple polygonal parts that are designed for primarily structural use.
If you want good adhesion print this material with a heated build plate over 50 degrees c and less than 80 degrees.
Absolutely terrible for high resolution or detailed pieces like artwork.
Price

Packaging/appearance
I was looking for a shiny gold filament, and was taken by the picture on www.
Competitiveness
Even when using the extra draft mode in x1c, the prints still come out better than most older or cheaper 3d printers i've had in the past.
I print a lot and have tried a lot of different filaments out there… overture is the only brand i’ll use from now on.
If you are looking for a good pla that typically sits in the lower-tier price range, overture is a good go-to.
It performs the same as the snapmaker brand filament.
