Pros & Cons
Pros
The overture pla and + is very consistent. I usually print this at 210 to 215c, with 60c on the glass and textured pei build plates. Using the jean blue, nozzle temp 200 and bed temp 60. I have a biqu b1 with the nozzle set to 200 and the bed to 60.
Prints are smooth and overhangs are phenomenal. Excellent adhesion, and have had no trouble with clogging.
Cons
Seems there may have been a moister issue. I have a humidity gauge inside my temperature controlled enclosure so i know that it did not get moisture after opening. Buyer beware. Overture isn’t the place anymore.
The overture pla gets tangled up and stops feeding into the printer. Corners start warping from the first few layers. The overture roll is pretty loose and i keep having to hand re-wind several strands of the overture.
Highlights
Quality
I never have real adhesion issues, and the print quality is great.
It's not the cheapest filament around, but it's still an extremely reasonable price for the quality you're getting.
I've found overture filament to all around good filament but it all seems to have an issue with the first few loops on every sp... Read More
The print quality is about the same as pla+ but it has a ductile feeling to it so i use it for my mechanical assemblies vs.
Price
I suppose we all know by now that there is little difference between filament manufacturer (except the price tag), nowadays.
Competitiveness
I can't comment on the heat improvements as that doesn't apply but for a working assembly, this material works better than petg.
The parts are stronger, it is far less prone to stringing at higher temperatures, and it handles overhangs like a champ.

The filament diameter is closely controlled because when i print long walls they look perfectly flat and dont have any overunder extrusion that you get from big swings in diameter
