Pros & Cons
Pros
Replaced the white overture pla plus with blue overturepla plus and printed with the exact same g-code. No other changes were made to on my printer. I recommend starting 40-50 mm/s print speed and slowly increasing for each print to see what prints we... Read More
Filament always performs well once you have it dialed in. Affordable, durable, and the best overall. Amazon already has my replacement on the way - they rock!
It melts evenly, it goes down smooth, and it produces a very nice satin finish. I like my filament to be matte, so the color of this filament is fine. It's also got nice tensile strength and general durability.
Cons
Massive buildup on the nozzle with every print. Has small cracks that become full breaks as it is printing. Not even printing that. Esun pla+ prints tolerated the same shipping conditions much better.
Bed adhesion is non existent. That alone is a deal breaker for me. Sometimes it sticks sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it's clean, sometimes it's stringy.
The filament scratches are white which makes the color irrelevant if you are using supports as it will look bad unless painted. The color is faded. I will not even donate this to the world's worse enemies.
Highlights
Quality
The adhesion is great and the print quality is perfect.
This is great filament for beginners trying out their 3d printing skills and they don't want to worry about the quality of the filament.
I was very surprised by the quality.
This filament lays down nicely and the print quality is good, i will probably try more from this company.
Packaging/appearance
Eco-friendly packaging and spool so no plastic spool to throw away.
Bought this for the prusa mk3 and worked great right out of the package.
Competitiveness
I have a elegoo neptune x and this is my first time using fdm so take this with a grain of salt.
The printer jobs i have done are working like it come froma store and solid as a rock
I use a flashforge finder 3d printer.
(i have a modded wanhao i3, and got amazing prints with hotend temp at 220c and bed temp at 60c.
