Pros

Easy to work with and produces reliably stunning results. Not as forgiving as other filaments, but i've read that's the way it is with silk pla. Worked like a charm right out the box.

Prints great at default settings of 200 c / 60 c bed temp. Using a temp in the middle of the suggested temps is ideal for my setup. Crank up the heat a bit from standard pla for most silk filaments.

Filament comes on a cardboard spool, vacuum sealed with desiccant. Filament is nicely wound on the spool and unwinds smoothly without tangling.

Cons

Extruder grinds up the filament and stops advancing. Filament expands, sticks to and clogs the feed tubes near the hot end. Tried several print head temps, with/without cooling. Still, garbage every time.

I'd say it's a little expensive compared to some other dual color silks, but the quality is great.

The print quality is excellent, the finish is smooth and the color is vibrant.

The final part was inconsistent with the direction of each color.

Price is comparable to other filaments in this vein.

Packaging/appearance

Packaging was good and sealed, cardboard spool marked with remaining filament gauge is a plus.

I had no problems with adhesion or removal at my usual temps of 200° on the hotend and 50° on the bed.

Going down the tube was another story since it wants to stay the same form on the roll there was resistance pushing it to the hotend.

The filament was flexible out of the packaging.

Competitiveness

One thing to note that i did have as an issue with a competitor (same silk, purp with gold) is that this actually does print purp and gold.

I'm relatively new to the 3d printing world, so have been reluctant to leave reviews until i tried more than a few brands.
