Pros & Cons
Pros
Prints great at default settings of 200 c / 60 c bed temp. Produces nicely detailed prints with a bright metallic shine. Still prints great even without drying after about 2 months.
Purple/gold filament lays down beautifully. Easy to work with and produces reliably stunning results. Crank up the heat a bit from standard pla for most silk filaments.
The purple and gold colors are rich and vibrant, and they work together to create a regal and sophisticated look. The colors are shiny as expected.
There was no stringing, the layers are clean and neat, the detail is sharp. No noticeable defects or blemishes. Printing on an ender 3 neo.
Filament comes on a cardboard spool, vacuum sealed with desiccant. Adhesion is as good as any other pla. No sticking issues, no braking issues and no mess issue.
Cons
Extruder grinds up the filament and stops advancing. Problem seems to be when the filament passes into the feed tube near the hot end. At times it gets too thick to pass through the bowden tube slowing or even stopping the feed all together.
The colors are vibrant and amazing, but performance is poor. It is inconsistent. I was issued a refund instead of a replacement roll.
Highlights
Quality
Strong and durable prints, easily adheres to every type of plate.
It has great performance and my prints have had excellent durability.
The spool contains a pair of holes every 90 degrees to attach the end of the filament so it doesn't unwind.
The model came off the build plate when the print was done and did not take alot of effort being it was a flex plate.
Price
This filament is a great value for the money.
Shipping
Easy to use and arrive very fast.
Packaging/appearance
The silk finish gives the prints a beautiful, glossy look that's sure to impress.
The filament came in a very tight shrink wrap with a desiccant pack in the middle of the role.
I printed the control box on my mostly unmodified creality ender 3 max neo.
Packaging was good and sealed, cardboard spool marked with remaining filament gauge is a plus.
Competitiveness
I'm relatively new to the 3d printing world, so have been reluctant to leave reviews until i tried more than a few brands.
One thing to note that i did have as an issue with a competitor (same silk, purp with gold) is that this actually does print purp and gold.
I found this filament to be quite similar to most other silk filaments i've used.

I always print 3dbenchy on my ender 3 for new filament to test how it is first out of the box

This dual color is present for every part of the filament so the color change appears only on difference surfaces

In the photos you can see one side of 3dbenchy as gold and the other as purple as outward facing part of the filament changes
