Pros & Cons
Pros
Overture petg is a little harder to get settings dialed in but super worth the benefits it provides over pla. I expect that shrinkage is technically higher with air pla, but i didn't observe any negative effects from shrinkage.
The filament is a glossy white and is very neatly wound on the spool. There are four large openings on the front * of the spools thorugh which the amount of filament remaining can be assessed. Scales on the label show the remaining spool in both grams... Read More
This applies to all materials but especially petg because it will string and blob like crazy if your nozzle drags over high spots on the bed. Worth trying if you have parts that need to be light, like for cosplay or drone parts.
Cons
The material itself is great but the filament diameter is inconsistent to the point that it causes constant extrusion problems. Filament is spooled on itself, and was shipped wet. It's not a true black and has a matte appearance.
Reduced flow rate from 100 to 90% in 2% increments. Cardboard spools are complete garbage and a * idea for at least 2 reasons. This binding causes too much tension on the filament, causing your extruded to under extrude, thus ruining your print.
Highlights
Quality
Quality petg - i switched to this brand after having nozzle clogging issues from budget brands.
Handles high-speed printing on my bambulab p1s so well without losing much of the quality.
The quality of this filament is typical like many other brands.
I weighed the calibration cubes and the part printed with the air pla was lighter.
Packaging/appearance
I've always heard petg was a bit finicky to dial in to get perfect results.
Once i got about halfway through the spool the filament was twisted on the roll so it doesnt unspool smoothly.
Competitiveness
Never used pc before, but after changing some things on my printer, got it running with great results on both an ender 3 max ne... Read More
I've had no crossover incidents and it generally prints a bit less stringy than other petg.
The biggest downside is that this tends to shrink just a touch more than other petg i've tried.
Like other petg filaments, it is very resistant to adhesives.
