Pros

This runs very quietly and stays cool all day in use. Only issue is fan is not quiet as i would desire. No complains with performance or reliability.

Switching between modes is very easy, and it configures the drives quickly. It takes a bit of fidgeting with it to make it do what you want sometimes. It's a bargain for home use since it supports raid 0,1, and span modes.

The product works as advertised. Great price and great device. Super happy with everything. This thing is great! However my intital feeling is that this is a good product. It's super easy to use.

Quiet and sturdy. Pure metal. Screws hold down everything in place. Helps keep it cooler.

Cons

The only way it would recognize the drive is by powering off the imac, turning on the enclosure, and then powering the i mac back on. These were set jbod and still corrupted in tandem. I get a disc structure corrupted and unreadable error. Do not buy.... Read More

This enclosure is a bargain for home use since it supports raid 0,1, and span modes.

Wish they included a longer one or both a short and a long one (for the price you pay it should)

In total, with drives and replacement fan, this solution cost me $290 for a 4tb raid 1 external hard drive.

While i prefer cases with built in power supply, this case is a deal with external power brick, and helps keep it cooler.

If you want a really reliable enternal enclosure then you need to have better than consumer level drives.

I am using this device in raid 1, but it also states it supports raid 0, jbod and span.
